St. Anthony's Parish (March 18)

Today I tried out the other church that is close to wear I live. It was about a 20 minute walk to a church called St. Anthony's Parish. A little bit about the church: Due to the large number of Italians in Marsflied (the city where the church is located), it was decided to name the Parish after one of the most popular Italian saints. St. Anthony is known as 'il Santo' in Padua where he died and is buried in the great basilica there. Father Cusack arranged the building of the old church/school which was opened June 24 1934.
This is a very old church and you can tell when you go inside. It seems like most churches around here are pretty old. They had carpet on the kneelers and it was just a very simple basic church. I went to the 6pm mass which had no music, but the young kids were heavily involved in helping with the mass. You could tell the priest had a great love for kids. They did not have alter servers and it was a very laid back mass. The priest pretty much did everything himself. It was an interesting mass with a very nice homily. I definitely want to go back to the 9am one to see what that mass is like and they also serve tea and biscuits for free after mass. I also really liked it because I could easily walk there (there is a hill but its not too bad).
Here is my attempt at taking 'blind' photos. It was more of a point and shot and hope for the best.
Accidental photo that kind of turned out cool

The sky as I was walking to mass (good thing i brought my umbrella because it was raining when mass got out)
