With our gym membership we have a lot of perks including free classes, fitness evaluation, workout plans, and more. Today I had my initial consultation where they took my measurements, did a fitness test, wrote down my goals and made a workout plan for me.
Thank god I had a girl because this was a lot more challenging then I thought it would be. She tested my flexibility, how many full range sit ups and push ups I could do in a minute, and then I had to do an elliptical test. On this is started off slow and then the resistance became greater with every level. I was able to complete up to level 9. I was well above average which I was really happy to hear.
The girl who did all the tests for me set up a great workout plan of what I should do for warm up, cardio, weights, etc. After a few weeks I will go back to her, she will retest me and give me a new plan.
It is so nice to have a plan and not have to think about what I am going to do when I go to the gym. She gave me some great new exercises to do and definitely is challenging me. Now I just have to get my butt over to the gym and make sure I go a few days a week. (the hardest part)
