Bondi Beach Adventure (February 12)

I slept like a baby last night and slept in till almost 9. I think staying in was a great call. After eating some breakfast I packed a lunch for the day and got ready to leave for Bondi beach. Minna, Suzy, Tash, and I left around 11. We took a bus to downtown then took the train into downtown Bondi then walked 3 km (1.8miles) down to Bondi Beach. It was so pretty. The beach was packed, I think part of it had to do with the Latin festival and market that was going on. We walked down to the center where we met Minna’s friend from Finland Viivi. This beach kind of reminded me a lot of Salt creek because they had a grass hill a little sidewalk area then the beach. We ate our lunches laid out and then went into the water.

Of course as soon as I got out of the water huge rain clouds moved in just like they did yesterday. We knew what was coming so we packed up our stuff and headed back. Before we headed back we walked through the market. There were a lot of different things you could buy mainly clothes but it kind of reminded me of del mar on the Sundays. As we walked back to the train station the rain wasn’t too bad. Nothing compared to yesterday so we just kept walking because we wanted to get back home. We caught the train back to town hall and then walked over to the bus stop where we caught a bus back home. Even though there it rained it was still a really nice day. Got some sun and did a lot of walking. After showering I headed over to Natashas where we made our first meal since we have been here. We had tacos! We made ground beef with taco seasoning Mexican rice onions lettuce salsa and tortillas. It was delicious and very filling. After dinner I cooked my chicken at Tash’s place since im still trying to figure out how to improvise for everything that is missing from our apartment.

We then headed over to apartment 10 (Lewis’ apartment) where there were a ton of people who lived in the parklands. Tyler, Anaelle, Suzy, Lewis, Joakim, and Marie along with new people we met Dean, Michael, Stan, Johim, Ben, and others but I don’t remember their names. It was a really fun night we all just sat around listening to music, drinking, and getting to know each other. Definitely a good way to meet more people.
