Bit of a Sad Day (February 16)

This morning I sadly woke up to the news that my GG Mary had passed away on the 15th. I found out she died a peaceful death in the hospital but it was still very shocking news that was very unexpected. I have so many amazing wonderful memories of my GG. I loved how every time we went to her house we could always count on a huge meal that was more than one course. She always had snacks out and we could rely on a game of cards (most likely go fish) after the meal. She was always so good about sending us cards on our birthdays and special holidays with money, new paper clippings, and stickers that were carefully picked out and placed on the envelope and throughout the card. GG had such a love for family and that was one thing I loved about her. She loved telling stories and sharing her memories with us. I am so lucky to know that I know have another angel up there watching over me while I am on this journey in Australia. You will be greatly missed GG.

After being at the hub to use the computers to try and find out some more news about what happened to my GG I headed back to my place where I made a delicious salad and hung out around my apartment for a while. Since we hadn’t done anything for a day or so I really wanted to do something but it was too late to go anywhere so Tash and I went to this grass field with a lake in the middle of it to lay out and read and just relax. This was on campus and it was so peaceful and relaxing. I wish I had brought my camera so I could take photos but im sure I will be back there again soon. On my way home I stopped at the shopping centre for soy sauce then tash and I cooked teriyaki stir fry rice green beans and corn on the cob it was delicious. After dinner we watched 21 Grams with Lewis and Tyler and then planned our day for tomorrow. Its going to be an early day because we are headed off to the Blue Mountains.
