Wanaka (April 25)

Today is ANZAC day which is Austalia New Zealand Army Core day. Its a national holiday that most peopl get off and people get up really early and go to services. It was a very early morning this morning because they wanted us to have a good view of the mirror reflection in the lake. We did a walk to the looking point to get some pictures then we headed back to the cafe for breakfast.

Part of the cafe we had breakfast at

Along the way we had a lot of stops today for view points and bathroom stops.

We ended up getting into Wanaka aroud 3. This town is gorgeous. Mountains on one side and the lake on the other. It also is a fairly newly developed area so everything looks so new and pretty. This was probably one of the nicest Base hostels that we stayed at. It was so beautiful out that we went to the park to kick the ball around then the boys went for a swim in the lake. We watched the sunset from the lake as well it was so beautiful. I can't imagine what this place looks like in the winter. I love that it's fall here because all the trees changing colors made it stunning. After subset we got food and made a curry dinner then watched Lock Stock and 3 Smoking Barrels.
